Ruby-Spears Enterprises was an animation studio founded in 1977 by Joe Ruby and Ken Spears, who were former writers for Hanna-Barbera. It was originally owned by Filmways, who sold it Taft Broadcasting in 1981 (thus becoming a sister studio to Hanna-Barbera), who sold it to Turner Entertainment in 1991, who sold it to Time Warner in 1996.

Like Hanna-Barbera, Ruby-Spears was eventually merged into Warner Bros. Animation, who currently owns every production Ruby-Spears did with the exceptions being Rambo: The Force of Freedom, which is owned by StudioCanal and It's Punky Brewster, owned by NBCUniversal.
