Detailed summary
After reading "The Boy Who Cried Wolf" story to Ding-a-Ling, Hokey gets the idea to "find a boy who would snitch on a wolf", after finding a full flock of sheep, Hokey makes a guess on how many sheep there are, leading to Ding-a-Ling to count them, only to fall asleep, Hokey wakes him up and tells him "don't you know, aren't you aware of the fact that you're supposed to count sheep only in bed" then tells him to stay there while he "gets it rolling like in the book". Hokey walks up to the boy to tell him he has a nice flock of sheep there, the boy, not entirely aware of a Wolf standing right in front of him, thanks Hokey. Hokey, surprised, tells the boy that he's a "W.O.L.F, a W.O.L.F", the boy, confused says Hokey isn't a cow, cause cows have horns. After awhile the boy started to realize what animal Hokey was. Hokey in response tells the boy "My boy you amaze me! Now for the second act, your supposed to go home panicking yelling, WOLF! WOLF! WOLF! WOLF! WOLF! WOLF! WOLF!", just then, the farmer arrives with a gun pointed at Hokey, Hokey pushes the farmer's gun away and asks what is wrong with them, then explaining that the boy is supposed to yell "Wolf", the farmer comes out, but there's no wolf, then it's supposed to happen again, but the third time the farmer doesn't show, then Hokey gets all the sheep. Hokey tells the farmer that he'll take a couple of lambs for his troubles and call it a day. The farmer, irritated, responds by shooting Hokey in the tail, Hokey dares him to do it again, which he does and nearly hits Hokey's head, Hokey responds by running off.
Ding-a-Ling suggest to Hokey they should go home, but Hokey won't until they get a sheep. Hokey then hides in a stump and yells "Baa!" repeatedly to "lore a sheep over and grab it". The boys asks the farmer if he's finally going to blow up "that old stump", the farmer says he is, it then cuts to Hokey, still hiding in a stump yelling "Baa!", when the farmer's expositions go off, Hokey is launched into the air, unaware that he's in the air, he still yells "Baa!", once he realizes where he is, he falls to the ground.
Ding-a-Ling asks Hokey, who just came out of a coma, if he's feeling better. Hokey tells him that he's fine and knows what they're troubles have been, they have been going after one sheep and should take a large some of sheep, like the whole flock. Hokey then comes out dressed in sheep's skin. To go set a trap and act as their leader to lore them into Hokey's cave. After they all go inside, Ding-a-Ling asks Hokey how he did it, Hokey reveals that he told them there was a surprise inside, and that he's "going to give it to them", Ding-a-Ling tries to warn Hokey, but is too late. As Hokey is in the cave. He reveals to the sheep that he's the wolf. The farmer then reveals himself as well and starts to beat up Hokey and shoot after him. Hokey yells for Ding-a-Ling to run, and that the farmer was way ahead of him. Ding-a-Ling, who is running in front of Hokey, tells him he was way ahead of him too. Hokey then tells the viewers that he hopes he can stay ahead of the bullets.
