Character description
Harry is middle-class American worker in his 40s to 50s. He is overweight and has a bald head, save for a few strands of hair. His attire generally consists of a olive green suit with a light blue shirt and necktie.
Described as an old "stick-in-the mud", Harry is a conservative with a strong belief in traditional American values (e.g. working hard, being kind to his family). He is the wife of Alice Boyle, and has three children; the two elder kids, Chet and Alice Boyle, and younger son Jamie. Harry is at odds with Chet and Alice, both of whom are socially progressive, and they tend to clash in regards to values and social issues. He tries to present himself as a wisdomly father to his kids, yet is fully estranged by their modern attitudes. In spite of their differences, he and his family are able to set aside their differences and revert back to their everyday routines.
Harry is also a next-door neighbour to Ralph Kane. The former is the more skeptical of the two, as he is often confused by, and raises objections to Ralph's bigoted ideology and conspiracies.
He also works as an owner of Boyle's Restaurant Supplies, a company that supplies restaurant equipment.
