Cocoa Pebbles
Cocoa Pebbles is part of the Pebbles brand of breakfast cereal manufactured by Post Consumer Brands, featuring characters from the TV series The Flintstones as spokestoons. It was first sold on the West Coast in 1969, and went nationwide in October 1971 after strong consumer demand.
The cereal contains chocolate-flavored crisp rice cereal bits, and contain 10 grams of sugar per serving.[1] Television commercials typically revolve around Barney trying to steal Fred's Cocoa Pebbles, though that doesn't seem to be the case, as they have been replaced with other advertising campaigns since the 2010s.
It had an in-universe "Stone Age" cameo in the 1994 live-action film The Flintstones.
History
In 2010, Hulk Hogan sued Post for defamation and exploiting his name without his permission, after including a character named Hulk Boulder in its "Cocoa Smackdown" commercial.
Fictionalized version
The Flintstones owned Cocoa Pebbles in the kitchen of their house in the aforementioned live-action film, The Flintstones.
