Behind the scenes
- A commercial for Cocoa Spuds is aired just before the drawing. This may be a parody of Cocoa Puffs cereal.
- When the kids encounter a flowing stream on a downtown curb, Alfalfa tries to get them across by mimicking Tarzan's famous call.
- When Captain Muscles draws the winner of the dream date, he mentions Darla's name. When their date is underway, he mistakenly calls her Delilah, which insulted her.
Errors
- When Darla invites the boys to celebrate her winning the dream date with Captain Muscles, her shoes and socks are pink and white respectively, instead of the usual white and pink.
- Maria kisses Alfalfa after he saves her life. Wouldn't that be a violation of U.S. law at their age?
