"The Picnic" is the thirteenth episode of The Flintstones season two, and the forty-first overall. It aired on December 15, 1961 on ABC. It was written by Jack Raymond, and produced and directed by William Hanna and Joseph Barbera, the creators of the series and the founders of Hanna-Barbera Productions.

Jealous with the astounding records of his neighbor Joe Rockhead, Fred decides to change partners with for the annual field day games so that he can win the prized trophy (much to the annoyance of his usual partner Barney).
