Springtime for Thomas is the twenty-second animated theatrical short of the Tom and Jerry series. It was released on March 30, 1946 by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer. It was produced by Fred Quimby, and written and directed by William Hanna and Joseph Barbera.
Tom and Jerry's usual cat and mouse routine is interrupted by Tom's infatuation with the opposite sex, so Jerry schemes to get another cat involved.

- While this is Toodles's first appearance in a Tom and Jerry cartoon, an early version had previously appeared in the non-Tom and Jerry short, The Alley Cat.
