Salvatore Phillip "Sonny" Bono was an American singer, actor, and politician who came to fame in partnership with his second wife Cher as the popular singing duo Sonny & Cher and voiced himself in The New Scooby-Doo Movies. He was also mentioned in the television special Night of the Living Doo.

Bono died on January 5, 1998 from a skiing accident.
