Shaley is a cave kid and supporting character in "Dawn of the Disposals", the ninth episode of the Yabba-Dabba Dinosaurs animated TV series. She is voiced by Tress MacNeille.
She is 10-years-old[1] and a friend of Pebbles Flintstone and Bamm-Bamm Rubble.

Writer of the episode and creator of the character, Joan Ford, intended for Shaley to be a transgender girl,[1] although the series was cancelled before those plans could be fully realized.[2] Ford would've preferred a trans actor to be the voice of Shaley, but the budget wouldn't allow for an additional guest.[3]
Ford also got to be involved with the design of Shaley, and was pleased with the final look, which she felt was a little bit relatable particularly with Shaley's bang over one of her eyes.[4]
