Frankenstein Jr., also referred simply as Junior, is a giant robot and the titular hero of the Frankenstein Jr. animated television segments. He is a sentient creation of boy scientist Buzz Conroy, and is tasked to prevent disasters causes by outlandish villains. He is voiced by Ted Cassidy.
Character description
Frankenstein Jr. is a giant robot who shares a physical resemblance to his namesake, Frankenstein's monster. He has a light blue body with a yellow nose. He has stitching on both his wrists and head, a bald scalp with a small fringe of hair, and an attenna on top of his head. He is dressed in green and purple superhero suit, with yellow boots, a cape and a black domino mask. His topwear has rugged sleeves and a triangular, orange insignia with a big "F" in the middle.
A creation of boy scientist Buzz Conroy, Frankenstein Jr. resides on a remote laboratory in Civic City, which is run by Buzz's father, Professor Conroy. When the city is in danger, Junior is called upon by the use of Buzz's energy ring. As powered by said ring, he also posseses a number of abilities, including flight, super strength, and few others.

Frankenstien Jr. is loosely based on the title character of the 1818 Mary Shelly novel Frankenstein. He also bears a resemblance to Boris Karloff's portrayal of the character from the 1931 Universal film of the same name.
