"Baba Bait" is the first episode of Quick Draw McGraw season three, and the fortieth overall, which came as part of The Quick Draw McGraw Show. It aired on January 30, 1961 in first-run syndication. It was written by Michael Maltese, and produced and directed by William Hanna and Joseph Barbera, the founders of Hanna-Barbera.

Baba speaks Spanish in this short. However, since Michael Maltese and/or Daws Butler did not know Spanish, it's reduced to food and stereotypical Spanish phrases like "Arriba." And they said Speedy Gonzales was a stereotype.
