Behind the scenes
- This is the first short since MGM's animation department was shut down in 1958, with a hundred and fourteen of them having been directed by William Hanna and Joseph Barbera. Hanna and Barbera had moved on to form their own animation studio, ala Hanna-Barbera, leading MGM to outsource work to Rembrandt Films, who in turn hired Gene Deitch to direct this short and the following twelve.
