Magilla Gorilla is a series of animated segments as part of The Magilla Gorilla Show, produced by Hanna-Barbera Productions. The series aired in syndication and ran from 1964 and 1965, airing 31 episodes in total.
The cartoons are about the antics Magilla, a happy-go-lucky ape who lives as a resident Mr. Peebles' pet shop. A typical episode involves Magilla being sold by one of Peebles' customers for various purposes—such as to turn loose and hunt down as a trophy, or for use as an experimental animal—but with Magilla's clumsiness messing things up, he winds up getting back to the shop.
