The Best of the Worst Cartoons Ever was supposed to be the first episode of ToonHeads season seven, and the eighty-sixth overall. The special was originally planned for a 2003 release, Warner Bros., however, did not take a liking to how the special presented their catalog from the 1970s to 1980s, and it was unaired.
