Adler was the original voice of Buster Bunny on Tiny Toon Adventures, but had a falling out with Warner Bros., upon hearing that he didn't secure a role at the time of their successor series Animaniacs. He left the series during its third season and was replaced by John Kassir.

At Nickelodeon, Adler was the voice of Ed and Bev Bighead on Rocko's Modern Life, and Ickis on Aaahh!!! Real Monsters.

His voice can also be heard as Starscream in the live-action Transformers film series from Paramount Pictures.
