Development

Series creator Craig McCracken cites the live-action Japanese tokusatsu show Spectreman as inspiration for creating Mojo Jojo. He specifically referred the character Dr. Gori, a green-skinned ape-like villain of the show's titular character, as the basis for Mojo's character design.[1]

McCracken also cites Speed Racer (the English dub adaptation of the anime Mach GoGoGo) for Mojo's verbose and fast-paced style of dialogue.[1]
