Rowan Sebastian Atkinson is an English character actor, comedian, and writer best known for playing the mumbling, eccentric Mr. Bean, who he co-created. The character started in a TV series of the same name which aired on ITV from 1990 to 1995, with only fifteen episodes having been made. There were also two theatrical films, one in 1997 and another in 2007. Since 2002, there has also been an animated series.
