"Robot Squid" is the fourth episode of Squiddly Diddly season two, and the twenty-fourth overall, which came as a segment of The Secret Squirrel Show. It aired on October 1, 1966 on NBC. It was written by Tony Benedict and Dalton Sandifer, and produced and directed by William Hanna and Joseph Barbera, the founders of Hanna-Barbera.
Chief Winchley calls Squiddly's bluff about quitting, by replacing him with a robot lookalike.
