Casting

From this episode onward, Don Messick replaced Howard Morris in the role of Atom Ant following the latter's falling out with Joseph Barbera. Morris previously provided the voice of the White Rabbit in the TV special Alice in Wonderland or What's a Nice Kid like You Doing in a Place like This?, but due to scheduling conflicts, he was unable to provide the same character for the special's LP adaptation. When Morris found out that his role was replaced by Messick for the album, he went on a profane disagreement with Barbera and left prior to the production of the 1966-67 season of Atom Ant.[1]

Morris did not work at Hanna-Barbera for years and did voice work at Filmation, including Jughead in the Archie cartoons. He was rehired by the studio more than a decade later after their disagreement, where Barbera reconciled with Morris and was pleased to reunite with him.[1]

Music

The music was composed by Ted Nichols.
