"Howlin' Cousins" is the eighth episode of Teen Wolf season two, and the twenty-first and final overall. It aired on November 7, 1987 on CBS. It was written by Linda Woolverton, and produced and directed by Gordon Kent.

Scott visits his shy and bookish cousin, Todd, who has yet to become a werewolf and has no knowledge of the family curse.

Although the cartoon has nothing to do with Teen Wolf Too, the episode still acts as a tie-in of sorts, as the film was released by the end of the month on November 20, featuring the film debut of Jason Bateman in the lead role.

Release

Dates are in order of release:

  • United States: November 7, 1987 on CBS

Behind the scenes

  • It isn't specifically mentioned if the uncle or aunt is a sibling to Harold, but if Teen Wolf Too is anything to go by, then it's presumably the latter.
  • It's unknown how Scott would've acted had the series continued, but in teaching Todd in accepting becoming a werewolf, he seems to have finally found peace and acceptance in himself.

Errors

  • The end credits say "Assisant animators" instead of "Assistant animators."
