• Their interest in the macabre makes them similar to the Addams Family.
• In the 1977 Laff-A-Lympics TV series, a new family was introduced as members of the Really Rottens named the Creepleys, the Creepleys shared similarities to the Gruesomes, but were more villainous than the latter.
