Dinosaurs are a diverse group of reptiles of the clade Dinosauria. They first appeared in the Triassic period — about 230 million years ago — where they continued to exist on Earth until the Cretaceous–Paleogene extinction event, which occurred approximately 66 million years ago. For Hanna-Barbera, their most famous appearance is in The Flintstones franchise, where they co-exist with humans in a modern Stone Age civilization.
