Capitol Critters is an American animated satirical political drama-comedy television series produced by Hanna-Barbera, Steven Bocho Productions, and 20th Century Fox Television for ABC in prime-time. There was one season with 13 episodes that should have been all aired in 1992, but low ratings canceled the series after the seventh episode, with the remaining six being aired by Cartoon Network in late 1995 or early 1996.

- In The Simpsons episode "Treehouse of Horrors III," when Bart and Lisa go to the cemetery, the camera moves past tombstones reading Fish Police, Capitol Critters, and Family Dog, all of which were created as competition to The Simpsons, but all they succeeded in doing was failing spectacularly.
