The episode title is a play on what Arthur Fletcher of the United Negro College Fund said, "A mind is a terrible thing to waste."
As a recurring joke, the museum's name keeps changing every time it's announced.
Mike tries to end the episode early by humming the end credits music as the credits appear over the team. The credits appear again when the episode ends properly.
Tom Bewkes's name is revealed in the end credits.
