The Buford Files is a series of animated segments as part of Buford and the Galloping Ghost, produced by Hanna-Barbera Productions for NBC's Saturday morning children's programming debuting. It ran in 1978, airing 13 episodes that spanned one season. It was the tenth Scooby-Doo "clone" series.
Buford originally made his debut on Yogi's Space Race, making this sorta of a spin-off.
A lazy bloodhound named Buford travels the swamps around him with teenagers, Cindy Mae and Woody, as they solve mysteries, while the sheriff, Sheriff Muletrain, and his deputy, Goofer McGee scout the area.
