Shaggy recast in Scooby-Doo! and the Witch's Ghost
Hello there MisterJames, QuestJ65, Snoopy the Dog and Stupendous Stuart,
According to IMDb, Billy West did not reprise his role as Shaggy Rogers from Scooby-Doo on Zombie Island (1998). Reason being, West needed time for his roles as Philip J. Fry, Professor Farnsworth, and Dr. John Zoidberg on Futurama (1999), so Jim Stenstrum was thinking of replacing West with Danny Cooksey, Rob Paulsen, Jeff Bennett, Tom Kenny and Dee Bradley Baker, before the role went to Scott Innes, making this his first debut as the voice of Shaggy.
Also, Maurice LaMarche was considered for the role of Ben Ravencroft before it went to Tim Curry.
