Release

Dates are in order of release:

  • United States: Week of March 20, 1961 in syndication

Behind the scenes

  • The rancher's daughter, the Bandit, and Junior all went to the same school.
  • This is the only appearance of El Kabong Jr, as he is never seen at all after this episode or mentioned for the rest of the series.
  • In Daws Butler style, Junior's voice is that of a Jerry Lewis parody, though he sounds more like Baba Looey without his accent.
  • Quick Draw does not see potential in Junior but Baba Looey thinks he's a perfect fit for El Kabong. Quick Draw even refers to his son as "no good".
  • Junior is possibly a college student, as he went away to a fancy school before this episode.

Errors

  • Grammatically speaking, the comma in the title card probably shouldn't be there.
  • How would Junior know about his dad's inability to fight if he had been away for some time?
  • Why is Quick Draw clearly elderly but Baba Looey isn't?
