"El Kabong, Jr." is the thirteenth episode of Quick Draw McGraw season two, and the thirty-ninth overall, which came as part of The Quick Draw McGraw Show. It aired in the week of December 8, 1961 in first-run syndication. It was written by Michael Maltese, and produced and directed by William Hanna and Joseph Barbera, the founders of Hanna-Barbera.

When El Kabong is old and unable to fight bad guys anymore, his son El Kabong Jr. comes to take his dad's place.

The rancher's daughter, the Bandit, and Junior all went to the same school.
This is the only appearance of El Kabong Jr, as he is never seen at all after this episode or mentioned for the rest of the series.
In Daws Butler style, Junior's voice is that of a Jerry Lewis parody, though he sounds more like Baba Looey without his accent.
Quick Draw does not see potential in Junior but Baba Looey thinks he's a perfect fit for El Kabong. Quick Draw even refers to his son as "no good".
Junior is possibly a college student, as he went away to a fancy school before this episode.

Errors

Grammatically speaking, the comma in the title card probably shouldn't be there.
How would Junior know about his dad's inability to fight if he had been away for some time?
