Speed Bugs are a group of teens who enter races and solve mysteries, they have a talking dune buggy as their mascot and transportation named Speed Buggy. They star in the animated Speed Buggy TV series.

Behind the scenes
- The Speed Bugs use a similar contrast as the Scooby-Doo franchise.
- This is because of Hanna-Barbera copying the success of the Scooby-Doo franchise which led to shows with mystery-solving groups like the Funky Phantom Crew, Speed Bugs, the Neptunes, and the Ghost Chasers.
