Captain Caveman and the Teen Angels is an American animated mystery comedy TV series produced by Hanna-Barbera (H-B) for ABC's Saturday morning children's programming. It ran from 1977 to 1980, airing 40 episodes that spanned three seasons. It was the tenth Scooby-Doo "clone" series, as well as a Charlie's Angels parody, which aired in primetime on ABC.
Taffy, Brenda, and Dee Dee, three teenage girls who call themselves the Teen Angels, uncover Captain Caveman (nicknamed "Cavey"), a neanderthal man and world's first superhero from the Stone Age, who had been trapped in a block of ice. In gratitude, he joins them on their travels as they uncover spooky mysteries.
During the first two seasons, Captain Caveman and the Teen Angels also appeared on Laff-A-Lympics. Once the series ended, Captain Caveman was immediately absorbed into Flintstones media, and retconned to have been a citizen of Bedrock, beginning with The Flintstone Comedy Show.
The Teen Angels rarely appeared after the series ended, but were restored (along with Cavey) for the 2021 HBO Max series Jellystone!
