:::@QuestJ65, the Archie Comics' canon also has the cartoon. From our point of view, the cartoon and the comic have nothing to do with each other, so Alan may not have an "M" in the cartoon, but it's a little stretch that I think is quite harmless. I imagine Hanna-Barbera was told of the comic, and it was probably treated as a collaboration, so it validates Alan M. to some degree.
