Template:Infobox actor Whoopi Goldberg is an American actor, author, comedian, and television personality. Golberg was the voice of Gaia on DIC's Captain Planet and the Planeteers, until Hanna-Barbera took over, who had her replaced with Margot Kidder.
Goldberg also appeared for Hanna-Barbera's 50th: A Yabba Dabba Doo Celebration to congratulate William Hanna and Joesph Barbera on their 50th anniversary of working together.

Goldberg had starring roles in films, usually played for laughs, such as Jumpin' Jack Flash, Sister Act, Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit, Made in America, and voice acted in The Lion King. She had a self-titled talk show and a self-titled sitcom called Whoopi, even though her character wasn't called Whoopi. She also had a recurring role on the TV series Star Trek: The Next Generation, which led to cameos in the spin-off films Star Trek: Generations and Star Trek: Nemesis. Since 2007, she has been the co-host on The View.
