Rock Odyssey is an American animated television movie. It aired on July 13, 1987 at the Los Angeles International Animation Celebration. It was written by Joseph Barbera, Neal Barbera, Robert Taylor, and produced and directed by William Hanna and Joseph Barbera, the founders of Hanna-Barbera.
The film was meant to be a prime-time TV special for a 1982 release on ABC, but the project was shelved after executives at Hanna-Barbera and corporate parent, Taft Entertainment saw the film's graphic imagery, particularly relating to the 1960s and the Vietnam War.
Warner Archive Collection confirmed that they still have the film in their vaults, but are unable to release the film on home video due to music clearance issues.
