History

Behind the scenes

  • Background supervisor Al Gmuer, designed a building similar to the Cincinnati Union Terminal, but when it meet approval to ABC and executive producer Joseph Barbera, they had it make sure it looked exactly like it. Gmuer didn't care for this decision, as it was difficult to draw.[1]

In popular culture

  • In the Kingdom Come comic miniseries, the United Nations HQ resembles the Hall of Justice.
  • "Hall of Justice" was used as a term to refer to Metropolis's police headquarters. In the episode "Lethal Weapon," the name is clearly seen on the building, although it bore little resemblance to the Union Terminal, rather it was of the faux Greco-Roman design typical of many pre-World War II United States public buildings.
  • In the Superman: The Animated Series episode "Apokolips... Now!," Superman fights Parademons in front of a building that resembles the Hall of Justice.
  • In the Justice League Unlimited episode "Ultimatum," the top of the Ultimen's headquarters resembles the Hall of Justice.
  • In the Young Justice TV series, the Hall of Justice was a public front, while their real headquarters was a satellite-like space station above Earth.
  • In the The Cleveland Show episode "Mama Drama," a shooting star transition, accompanied by a narrator, occurs when Cleveland and Auntie Mama go to the Hall of Records, which resembles the Hall of Justice.
