She left the series in spring of 1977, after numerous reasons that were explained in the years since; among which include dissatisfaction with both her salary and the material, and frustrations with balancing the show's duties with her marriage at the time.[1] Despite being replaced by Cheryl Ladd as Jill's sister, Kris Munroe, Fawcette later appears in six episodes of the show's third and fourth seasons (1978–1980).
