- In "Madcap Manhattan Motoring," Professor Pat Pending makes a comment concerning that he, and the other racers, are "not in Kansas anymore". This is a reference to the famous line in the 1939 film The Wizard of Oz, where Dorothy Gale said "Toto, I've a feeling we’re not in Kansas anymore!", in her arrival to the Land of Oz.
