"Planet Pirates" is the first episode of Ruff and Reddy season one, and came as part of The Ruff and Reddy Show. It aired on December 14, 1957 on NBC. It was written by Charlie Shows, and produced and directed by William Hanna and Joseph Barbera, the creators of the show and the co-founders of H-B Enterprises.

Ruff and Reddy are abducted by a UFO.
