Has he been in the news? Because I find that that may help. Since there's this UK trainer Joe Wicks that wore a Scooby suit in one of his videos. Unfortunately, as far as I cold probably find, I don't think there were any news that reference the Nostalgia Critic/Doug mentioning or making reference to any Hanna-Barbera properties; no Tom and Jerry, no Scooby-Doo, no Flintstones, whatsoever. There is a New York Times article from 2009 that reported on his videos back then, but no mention for any of their series, whatsoever; although there a few quick mentions of TMNT, Kazaam, and Gargoyles sprinkled in (both not from Hanna-Barbera, unless you want to squeeze in the naming similarities of Kazaam and Shazzan, but that's beside the point). Doug was also a subject of a 2013 ABC News report, but it was not related to any of his NC videos, but instead an unrelated one that showed examples of people quitting their jobs while at camera; Doug was there because he had to quit his job as a janitor to pursue working on his videos full time.

These examples of how far I could probably get with traditional news outlets. It's very difficult since the series was created at a time when YouTube and its surrounding culture was still in their infancy, so reports such as these are a dime a dozen. It may have been a bummer that that there were no instances of videos referencing HB media (like the example you showed me, tnk you), but at least we know now that his presence got acknowledged twice by two major media outlet. And that's the early years of the show I've been mentioning; some of the other news reports I dug were either from internet outlets or making reference to the 2018 incident surrounding Channel Awesome's work ethics. -- QuestJ65 (talk) 17:28, 2 July 2024 (UTC)

The two examples you used that is what I meant, that this is someone who has been acknowledged as someone with media coverage, so it distinguishes between if I made a video (lol) to someone who has gained notable status. That is why I brought up Joe Wicks. He was on this show called Lorraine which I haven't watched, and I doubt he mentioned the Scooby suit, but the fact he was covered as someone who had achieved some fame, is what made me think there was probably more justification in me adding a reference to him when he wore a Scooby suit in an exercise video once. -- Signed by James (talk) 17:53, 2 July 2024 (UTC)
