In the 1990s, Ed Scharlach wrote a pilot for a new animated television series based on the Jetsons franchise. The pilot revolved around the family replacing Rosie, their robot maid, with a real-life human, which was considered revolutionary. The new maid is obnoxious and upsets the family, especially the kids, leading them to get back Rosie.

Unfortunately, the pilot did not get picked up as around the same time, Warner Bros. bought Turner, who wasn't interested in bringing back the Jetsons to the 90s. Perhaps because of the massive bomb that was The Real Adventures of Jonny Quest.
