Filmation Associates was an American animation studio founded by Norm Prescott, Hal Sutherland and Lou Scheimer in 1962. It competed with Hanna-Barbera in producing various animated and live-action TV shows for children from 1963 to 1989.

Like Hanna-Barbera and other producers of Saturday-morning cartoons, Filmation focused on quantity over quality, and had a reputation of using techniques of limited animation in a style distinct from their competitors.
