"Dr. Bigot" is the first episode of Yogi's Gang season one. It aired on September 8, 1973 on ABC. It was directed by Charles A. Nichols.
Mr. Cheerful, an old friend of Yogi, invites the gang on his own property. Their meeting is disrupted, however, when a villain named Dr. Bigot uses a ray machine that turns Mr. Cheerful and Yogi into xenophobes.
Detailed summary
One beautiful day, Yogi's Ark was heading south to southeast, where Yogi Bear and his gang pass by a huge dark, cloud. Inside of that cloud is a blimp belonging to Dr. Bigot, who is planning on "bigotizing" the world by using a mind bending machine (which shoots a beam that turns people into bigots via a chemical mixture of hatred and prejudice).
When Magilla Gorilla runs out of bananas for the Ark's fuel, the gang land on a fountain belonging to large property. The owner of this land is Mr. Cheerful, an old friend of Yogi, who invites his gang for lunch while they replenish their banana supply. Boo Boo then notices that a dark cloud is close by them, while Dr. Bigot and his two minions prepare to use their machine to their target.
Following their meeting, Mr. Cheerful encourages Yogi's gang to stay for his brunch party. But as soon as Yogi prepares for it, Dr. Bigot shoots his ray at Mr. Cheerful, turning him into a bigot as soon as Yogi arrived at his doorstep. This prompted Mr. Cheerful to go on a xenophobic tirade against animals, and forbade Yogi's gang to be invited in his house.
Hearing this, Boo Boo explains to the gang that they will fix his house while he takes a rest, thinking that this would help him change back to his old self. This does not work, however, when Mr. Cheerful scolds them to leave, and they instead bake a cake in order to cheer him up. Mr. Cheerful's bigotry wears off, but just as the gang arrives at his doorstep, Yogi is hit by the Mind Bender and then throws the cake in front of Mr. Cheerful. Yogi goes on a similar xenophobic rant on all animals and leaves Boo Boo and the gang behind.
The gang were puzzled to see Yogi act so negative on them. Boo Boo points to the cloud following them and thinks if this is what caused Yogi to be that way. With the help of Atom Ant, Boo Boo, Huckleberry Hound, and Snagglepuss board onto the Ark's flying boat and are greeted inside of Dr. Bigot's blimp. Huck foils Dr. Bigot by unintentionally using the machine on his goons, switching them into nice people in the process. The group narrowly escape and finally join Mr. Cheerful and the rest of Yogi's gang in the table, where they have a peaceful conversation together while eating.

Imagine me, travelin' around with such a raggedy group of animals! From now on, I'm gonna live in a cave with other creatures of my kind. You can join me, Boo Boo. At least you're a bear, even if you're short and funny lookin'. Yecch!
Boo Boo: No thanks, Yogi. I'm staying here with my friends.
Yogi: Suit yourself, animal lover!
Yogi: Hey, hey, hey, Mr. Cheerful! If you ask me, having you back to normal is sight for my "bear" eyes to see.
Mr. Cheerful: Ha, ha, ha! You too, Yogi. I certainly hope this is the last of Dr. Bigot and his mixed-up think tank!
Boo Boo: That's up to each of us. We all have to carefully examine the thoughts we have in our think tank.
Yogi: That's pretty good, Boo Boo. Now why didn't I think of that?
Boo Boo: You will, Yogi, you will!
Snagglepuss: That, he will!
