Behind the scenes
- The witch has seven other cats that died before appointing Tom as her companion. The seventh gravestone outside her home has Butch's name, weirdly enough.
- June Foray provided the voice of the witch in this short, at the same year she began voicing Witch Hazel in the Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies cartoons; starting with Broom-Stick Bunny in 1956. Foray also used the same vocalization for the two characters.
