Greenblatt on Tumblr

Things he's confirmed:

  • Yo, Yogi! will be canon. I guess because Jellystone is a town in Jellystone!
  • The Neptunes and Teen Angles will appear, I think as cameos, which makes sense if Jabberjaw and Captain Caveman will appear, respectively.
  • Blip won't be in it
  • Muttley might be in it
  • Hong Kong Phooey might be in it
  • Banana Splits will appear
  • Birdman and other human superheroes won't appear. He says that only animals will appear as if implying that the Neptunes and Teen Angels would have to be animals... And Captain Caveman isn't exactly an animal either.

-- MisterJames (talk) 12:03, 25 September 2020 (UTC)

He also said if the show goes on long enough. Everyone will appear when someone asked him about Secret Squirrel and Snooper and Blabber meaning they will also most likely appear. -- Snoopy The Dog (talk) 15:32, 25 September 2020 (UTC)
I guess Hokey and Loopy De Loop were confirmed[1].
Yeah, I wondered about that. Since Hokey's already in the promo art, his appearance is assured, but not sure about Loopy De Loop. -- MisterJames (talk) 10:59, 29 September 2020 (UTC)
Since Hokey was a major part in some of the crossovers, it pretty much becomes obvious he was going to appear. Loopy was a more rare character when it comes to crossovers, I think he appeared in Yo, Yogi! and one of the Laff-a-Lympics comics, but I'm not sure where else he appeared outside of his own show. Which promo included Hokey? He wasn't in the first promo picture. -- Snoopy The Dog (talk) 15:39, 29 September 2020 (UTC)
I'd like to retract my comment before, I just realised that it was Mildew Wolf. Loopy was in Yo, Yogi! He was the owner of the picnic basket-shaped restaurant. -- MisterJames (talk) 18:25, 29 September 2020 (UTC)
I saw he posted the logo[2]. -- Snoopy The Dog (talk) 01:45, 13 February 2021 (UTC)

So no new news about this series? -- Snoopy The Dog (talk) 16:39, 30 April 2021 (UTC)

He and everyone else have gone quiet. -- MisterJames (talk) 18:36, 30 April 2021 (UTC)
I heard one of the crew members confirmed that he wasn't allowed to post anymore art on Twitter (or Facebook?), so they might be working on it while being completely silent now. -- Snoopy The Dog (talk) 23:03, 6 May 2021 (UTC)

Here's what other stuff I found out:

  • The show will in fact, likely be aimed towards an older audience, this is hinted when a few doodles of Yogi, Boo Boo and Cindy were posted to Twitter drinking White Claw.
  • Not only will Jabberjaw be genderbended, but other art that was revealed showed us that Augie and Dixie (of Pixie and Dixie) also will.
  • Ruff appears to be more of a cyborg for this series.

-- Snoopy The Dog (talk) 19:17, 15 May 2021 (UTC)

I guess those characters are actually transgender[3], Ruff and Reddy really do appear to be cyborgs and I was actually wrong about it being aimed towards adults because the White Claw thing was just a joke. Appears they nearly made that Boo Boo cancel meme canon too[4], lol. -- Snoopy The Dog (talk) 06:17, 26 June 2021 (UTC)
I wasn't sure about them being transgender because she used the transgender flags, but I thought that was because there wasn't any gender bending flags out there. I can't imagine that every single one of them is female now because they're trans. -- Signed by James (talk) 05:46, 29 June 2021 (UTC)
My mistake, those are the colours representing gender bending. I mean, one of them could be more than simply gender switched, but I still can't believe every single one of them would be. It's simply a matter of them needing more females, when Hanna-Barbera didn't create enough. -- Signed by James (talk) 05:53, 29 June 2021 (UTC)
I'm not too sure if they are transgender or just gender bended, I think they are most likely gender bended, given that, we can also say Jellystone! is in it's own universe (it doesn't seem to have connection to what came before), you are right though, HB didn't have many main female characters, so I also think they did that to make up the number of how many female characters there are. -- Snoopy The Dog (talk) 06:45, 29 June 2021 (UTC)

Wait, they actually are transgender?[5]. I guess that "girl-son" thing was a reference to that. -- Snoopy The Dog (talk) 22:46, 7 August 2021 (UTC)

Greenblatt confirmed that the superhero characters will appear. Apparently they didn't want to include the superheros at first, but according to him, "it wasn't fun to not include them". -- Snoopy The Dog (talk) 21:39, 24 July 2021 (UTC)

Other people's works

Top Cat and his entire gang will appear. https://www.instagram.com/p/B-F-6t_DEuX/ -- MisterJames (talk) 12:57, 25 September 2020 (UTC)

Jellystone! characters

Should we have a "Jellystone! characters" category? We could store the confirmed characters in there. -- Snoopy The Dog (talk) 19:19, 29 September 2020 (UTC)

I was also thinking if we should do that in advance, so yes. -- MisterJames (talk) 20:30, 29 September 2020 (UTC)

Release date

We know it won't come out before July 1st[6]. -- Snoopy The Dog (talk) 16:47, 10 June 2021 (UTC)

Which is just beyond disappointing because Tom and Jerry in New York is. -- Signed by James (talk) 18:24, 10 June 2021 (UTC)
Apparently it is said that they are done with the episodes, but it's taking awhile for HBO Max to add them. -- Snoopy The Dog (talk) 19:05, 10 June 2021 (UTC)

Characters who haven't been seen yet

Although I'm of course excited for this series, the following characters have so far not appeared for the series:

  • Hokey Wolf
  • Fibber Fox
  • Alfy Gator
  • Dum Dum
  • Beegle Beagle
  • Hair Bear Bunch
  • Speed Buggy (no idea if they are going to include him and the associates, but it would be a cool addition) (only missing Mark and Debbie)
  • Neptunes (besides JJ)
  • Brenda
  • Bristlehound
  • Any human associate (like Ranger Smith, Dibble, Winchley, Fuzzby, the King, Peebles .etc)
  • Breezly and Sneezly
  • Kwicky Koala
  • Wilford Wolf
  • Crazy Claws (and associates)
  • The Bungle Brothers
  • Dirty Dawg (and associates)
  • Cattanooga Cats
  • Around the World in 79 Days characters (if they are going to be included)
  • Sheena and Zelda (from Heyyy, It's the King!; I'm kinda bummed that they instead of including the female associates, turned one of the already male characters female)
  • CB Bears
  • Blast-Off Buzzard
  • Crazylegs
  • Undercover Elephant and Loudmouse
  • Atom Ant
  • Secret Squirrel
  • Morocco Mole
  • Precious Pup (but they got Granny Sweet)
  • Dick Dastardly
  • Muttley
  • Mumbly
  • Really Rottens members (unlikely to appear)
  • Hong Kong Phooey and Spot
  • Wacky Races competitors

What's your thoughts on some of these, I was definitely surprised when I saw the characters from Heyyy, it's the King as I didn't think they would have included them. -- Snoopy The Dog (talk) 18:28, 25 June 2021 (UTC)

Some of the characters in the trailer, I didn't recognize. I was surprised by the Banana Splits. Except for the live-action horror movie, they haven't had much attention. I think it will be good for them. I imagine that the trailer was only the tip of the iceberg of what's to come. -- Signed by James (talk) 21:16, 25 June 2021 (UTC)
When you were referring to "the ones you didn't recognize" I guess you were mainly referring to the Heyyy, it's the King characters, which yeah they were pretty obscure which is why I was surprised to see them. That Banana Spilts film was pretty gruesome (especially once you realize it was once a kids show), but Greenblatt mentioned before that they would appear which people had mixed feelings about them appearing. I forgot to mention Snooper and Blabber on the list. Speaking of the Banana Splits, HB actually made a clone of that series called "Skate Birds". -- Snoopy The Dog (talk) 21:32, 25 June 2021 (UTC)
Also forgot to list Ricochet Rabbit, Droop-a-Long, Punkin' Puss, Mushmouse, Motormouse and Autocat. -- Snoopy The Dog (talk) 02:23, 26 June 2021 (UTC)
I found an interview where Greenblatt confirmed a few things: Kwicky Koala will appear, but only as a cameo. Yo, Yogi! isn't canon to Jellystone! and either is the rest of the HB properties, meaning JS is set in it's own universe. Babu was originally planned .etc -- Snoopy The Dog (talk) 02:57, 22 July 2021 (UTC)
If I would have to guess, I would say in Shazzan's place was originally going to be Babu because Greenblatt said himself in that interview that he originally wanted to use Babu, but illegal issues came along. -- Snoopy The Dog (talk) 20:18, 22 July 2021 (UTC)
Every time I think some characters are not appearing, their confirmed to appear anyway. Speed Buggy and Moby Dick are appearing[7] but only as cameos. -- Snoopy The Dog (talk) 19:35, 26 July 2021 (UTC)

Yo, Yogi!

I mean Greenblatt confirmed it would be canon to Yo, Yogi!, but the trailer looks far different from Yo, Yogi! don't get me wrong, they were living in a town like in Yo, Yogi!, but that's really the only connection I could find. I would be in favor of saying this one is probably not canon like Yo, Yogi! pretty much wasn't either, lol. -- Snoopy The Dog (talk) 17:41, 26 June 2021 (UTC)

It does present a problem because Yo, Yogi! was set in Jellystone Township, while Jellystone! is set in Jellystone. Even if they're not connected, they're both set in an identical town. So, where does that leave with our page for Jellystone? -- -- Signed by James (talk) 18:55, 25 July 2021 (UTC)
The New Yog Bear Show already suggested that Jellystone was more than just the name of the park (perhaps even the live-action film did, too). So, I vote we just name the page Jellystone, and then mention how it was named Jellystone Township in Yo, Yogi! -- Signed by James (talk) 18:58, 25 July 2021 (UTC)
It's funny because I was actually correct on this one, it wasn't canon to Yo, Yogi! or the originals. I agree with your suggestion on it nonetheless, both are two different towns, thus Greenblatt wanted YY canon before, but copyright got in the way (I think). -- Snoopy The Dog (talk) 19:29, 25 July 2021 (UTC)

Comic Con

San Diego Comic Con is doing a panel for Jellystone! on July 24. https://www.thewrap.com/san-diego-comic-con-2021-schedule-panels-sdcc-comic-con-at-home-virtual-programming/ -- Signed by James (talk) 21:54, 8 July 2021 (UTC)

That's really interesting, especially since it's on my birthday, lol. -- Snoopy The Dog (talk) 21:59, 8 July 2021 (UTC)
Cool. The Loki TV series began on my birthday. -- -- Signed by James (talk) 22:14, 8 July 2021 (UTC)

Poster

Jellystone!'s poster came out, check it out. Appears the Hair Bear Bunch can faintly be seen in the background. -- Snoopy The Dog (talk) 19:28, 15 July 2021 (UTC)

Appears they are turning both Yakky and Chopper female. -- Snoopy The Dog (talk) 19:31, 15 July 2021 (UTC)

Jellystone! model sheets

Someone posted some of the model sheets on Twiddle, uh I mean Twitter.[8] -- Snoopy The Dog (talk) 20:47, 24 July 2021 (UTC)

I found more model sheet posted on IG. -- Snoopy The Dog (talk) 00:21, 3 August 2021 (UTC)

Season one

Season one has ten episodes, which seem to all premie on July 29 (the same day)[9]. -- Snoopy The Dog (talk) 00:35, 28 July 2021 (UTC)

The first episode is titled "Yogi’s Tummy Trouble"[10]. The article also reveals some other episode titles and plots. -- Snoopy The Dog (talk) 18:11, 28 July 2021 (UTC)

Episode 5

Someone posted a screenshot of episode 5 on Instagram[11], of course I can't view it as of now because I'm limited on what I can actually do on IG, so I just copied the link to the post. -- Snoopy The Dog (talk) 08:31, 29 July 2021 (UTC)

Found out what episode 4 was. -- Snoopy The Dog (talk) 11:08, 29 July 2021 (UTC)
Snoopy, feel free to add them yourself if you want to. -- Signed by James (talk) 11:30, 29 July 2021 (UTC)
Okay, I'll do so. I just wanted you to be aware of these episodes. -- Snoopy The Dog (talk) 11:32, 29 July 2021 (UTC)
Okay, I appreciate it, of course. Shame about that Kabong episode not being completely visible. -- Signed by James (talk) 11:36, 29 July 2021 (UTC)
I did ask a friend to get the titles for me as he did with Tom and Jerry in New York. Depending if one of us finds all the titles before that. -- Signed by James (talk) 11:36, 29 July 2021 (UTC)
Yeah, lol. Hopefully we can fill those in soon. -- Snoopy The Dog (talk) 11:38, 29 July 2021 (UTC)

Brenda and Clue Club

I was really surprised to find out that the Clue Club and Brenda are in fact in JS[12]. -- Snoopy The Dog (talk) 17:13, 29 July 2021 (UTC)

Yes, yes, yes. I was surprised by that too. But I did think the Clue Club was really good fan art though. -- Signed by James (talk) 17:57, 29 July 2021 (UTC)
Oh. -- Snoopy The Dog (talk) 18:06, 29 July 2021 (UTC)
Oh wait, Wikipedia is calming they appear in an episode. They even say that some of the characters have darker skin tone (as shown in the picture), Wikipedia is rarely right, but I don't think they would add info from some random fan art on Twitter. -- Snoopy The Dog (talk) 18:35, 29 July 2021 (UTC)

Winnie Witch

The voice credits still insist on calling her Winsome Witch, despite the fact she was always called Winnie Witch. -- Signed by James (talk) 22:44, 1 August 2021 (UTC)

Similar thing happened with Jonathan Muddlemore in the episode he appeared in, he was called "Funky Phantom" through out the episode. BTW Ranger Smith is the president in this series. -- Snoopy The Dog (talk) 23:09, 1 August 2021 (UTC)
Yeah, I noticed you said that before. Shocking! Especially that he's called President Ranger Smith. -- Signed by James (talk) 23:10, 1 August 2021 (UTC)
I'm glad some of the human characters made it into the show, like Smith and Peebles. Others like Twiddle and Dibble don't seem to appear (yet). -- Snoopy The Dog (talk) 23:13, 1 August 2021 (UTC)

Theme song

According to this video, there's more than one version of the intro similar to the Simpsons couch gag. -- Signed by James (talk) 12:34, 15 August 2021 (UTC)

Yeah, I found that one out already. The intro gags so seem to include one with Bleep, Mildew, Grape Ape and Speed Buggy. It would be fun to see more of those when the show continues on to season two. -- Snoopy The Dog (talk) 18:53, 15 August 2021 (UTC)

New episodes on the way?

There's new clips in here: https://www.instagram.com/tv/CS-OkxCBzHK/ -- Snoopy The Dog (talk) 05:52, 25 August 2021 (UTC)

Although I'm excited yet not surprised since there was that Space Ghost model sheet. I guess I'll have to get back to the other episodes at some point. -- Snoopy The Dog (talk) 01:21, 26 August 2021 (UTC)
Near the end of the trailer, I spotted some new clips, especially of Snagglepuss. -- Signed by James (talk) 01:28, 26 August 2021 (UTC)

Shorts on YT

Are we also going to cover the shorts on YouTube? -- Snoopy The Dog (talk) 17:47, 5 October 2021 (UTC)

Golly, shorts? -- Signed by James (talk) 19:19, 5 October 2021 (UTC)
The shorts Cartoon Network uploaded on their YT channel. -- Snoopy The Dog (talk) 20:46, 5 October 2021 (UTC)
I found one short, but I'm having trouble finding the rest because their channel is blocked off to my location (once I get Norton VPN running, I should be able to use it). But you can do a section under the Episodes called "Shorts." -- Signed by James (talk) 06:30, 6 October 2021 (UTC)
