Biography

Behind the scenes

  • Hanna-Barbera produced one season, while DIC produced another (not covered on this wiki), who had Carlin replaced with Rick Overton, because not only was he presumably cheaper, but also because Overton had been cast as Bill in a live-action TV adaptation. Carlin took back the role, however, and played Rufus one last time in the first sequel, Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey, while he appeared as a prerecorded hologram (via archival footage and new voiceover by Piotr Michael) in the third and final film, Bill & Ted Face the Music.
  • In "Model 'T' for Ted," Rufus reveals his name is actually his middle name, as people in the future only have middle names. This isn't held up in any of the movies.
