Development

This was the second episode to be written.

In the first drafts, the Count was given the name Albrecht Warheim,[1] who was a guest at the manor in 1890, who went for a late-night snack of white fish salad which led to losing his unfortunate decapitation.[2]

Filming

It was copyrighted in 2015.

Music

The theme song, "Old Stomping Grounds," was written and performed by Adam Levin, James Bairian, and Louis Castle. The rest of the music was composed by Jake Monaco.

Release

Dates are in order of release:

Behind the scenes

  • The episode title is derived from Prince's 1982 song "1999," in which he said he wants to "Party like it's 1999," which was originally referring to a nuclear apocalypse prediction in 2000, but later changed to the more familiar use of end of the century party.
  • The episode is partly inspired by the Scooby-Doo, Where Are You! episode "Haunted House Hang-Up."
  • As a result of being written as the second episode, it has also been aired as the second episode outside of the United States, instead of "Game of Chicken."
  • Just like her original incarnation, Daphne is revealed to have a wealthy family.
  • This is the first episode of Be Cool not to feature The Mystery Machine.
  • A special thanks is given to Joe Ruby and Ken Spears, who had nothing to do with this episode, but did create the original series, Scooby-Doo, Where Are You!

Errors

Everlasting influence

  • * It is revealed in "Professor Huh? Part 6 3/4," that the case at Wuthering Manor was one of many cases that led Rose to turn against Fred, because he was always outdoing her even though she was a professional detective.
