MAD is an animated sketch comedy series produced by Kevin Shnick and Warner Bros. Animation for Cartoon Network. Based off the 1952 magazine of the same name, it ran from September 6, 2010 to December 2, 2013, spanning four seasons across three years.

Often referred as "Robot Chicken for kids", the series parodied pop culture that was relevant at the time, most of which have aged very poorly. It also parodied properties that Warner Bros. owned, including Cartoon Network, Looney Tunes and Hanna-Barbera.

Cow and Chicken

Dexter's Laboratory

  • "Taking Nemo/Once Upon a Toon": During "Once Upon a Toon", Dexter joins Henry Swan in restoring all the classic Cartoon Network cartoons' memories. The mastermind turns out to be Dee Dee, who cancelled all their shows to make room for more modern cartoons like MAD.

  • "The Social Netjerk/Turn off that Clark": In "The Social Netjerk", Zandor befriends Tyler Winklevoss on the website exclusively for blonde people. He is referred to as "That guy from the Herculoids"

Jetsons

  • "Pooh Grit/Not a Fan a Montana": In the segment "Not a Fan a Montana", Justin Beiber flies away from earth in a Jetsons-like spaceship.
  • "Real Veal/Celebrity Wife Swamp": During "Real Veal", Rosie is a card girl at the wrestling match.
  • "The Iron Giant Lady/Raising a New Hope": In "The Iron Giant Lady", Rosie appears at the Robot Grammys.
  • "Total Recall Me Baby/The Asgardians": In "Total Recall me Baby", Douglas Quaid/Hauser jumps on George Jetson's spaceship.

Johnny Bravo

  • "Taking Nemo/Once Upon a Toon": During "Once Upon a Toon", Johnny assists Henry Swan in rounding up all the Cartoon Network characters so they can restore their memories. Due to his memory loss, he doesn't believe he's actually Johnny Bravo, since Johnny is bad with women. He later wakes up thinking everything was dream, only to be proven wrong when Alfred E. Neuman, the show's mascot, appears next to him in bed.

Magilla Gorilla

  • "It's a MAD Monkey Special": In "Demise of the Planet of the Apes", Magilla is one of the apes at the captive.

Powerpuff Girls

  • "It's a MAD Monkey Special": Mojo Jojo appears as a contestant in "The Celebrity Ape-prentice"
  • "WWe Bought a ZOO/2 Broke Powerpuff Girls": During "2 Broke Powerpuff Girls", Bubbles and Buttercup are left broke and jobless in their apartment after being fired from their job as waitresses. They turn to Blossom for help and she employs them to work for her company which owns a restaurant, leaving them at square one again. Tara Strong reprises Bubbles for this skit.
  • "I am Lorax/Modern Family Circus": in "I am Lorax", Mojo Jojo makes a cameo as one of the cartoon zombies shot by Will Smith. Since the previous zombies he shot were Mordecai and Rigby from Regular Show and Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck (who both starred in The Looney Tunes Show at the time), Ted Wiggins asked Smith if he's mad at Cartoon Network since he shot half their lineup; a reference to how all those shows except PPG would air around the same time in CN's schedule.
  • "Taking Nemo/Once Upon a Toon": During Once Upon a Toon, Samurai Jack trims a bush in the shape of The Powerpuff Girls. Later, Blossom assists Henry Swan in restoring all the classic cartoons memories.

Scooby Doo

  • "TwiGH School Musical/Avenger Time": In "TwiGH School Musical" Shaggy and Scooby make cameos during Troy's Song.
  • "ArTHOR/The Big Fang Theory": When Jake is turned into a werewolf, he starts talking like Scooby.
  • "Kitchen Nightmares before Christmas/How I met you Mummy": In a segment appropriately titled "The Scooby-Doo Gang, Ruining Halloween Since 1969", Mystery Inc. goes around town "unmasking" kids in costumes on Halloween. Matthew Lillard reprises his role as Shaggy.
  • "Fast Hive/Minute to Flynn it": in "Celebrities without their Makeup" Fred resembles chef Gordon Ramsey without his makeup on.
  • "Moneyball Z/Green Care Bear": in the segment "Barry Kirschbaum, Ghost Attorney", The Old Carnival Owner mentioned he was able to sue Mystery Inc and now keeps Scooby as a pet.
  • "Spy vs. Spy Kids / The Superhero Millionaire Matchmaker": In "Spy vs. Spy Kids", Velma and Shaggy appear when Rebecca and Cecil Willams explain why the Danger D'amo and his twins did the crime.
  • "Captain American't / My Supernatural Sweet 16": In the segment "My Supernatrual Sweet 16", The Winchester Bros. car has a sign on the side that says "The Supernatural Machine", in the same style as the Mystery Machine.
  • "The Mixed Martial Artist / Aquaman vs. Wild.": In the segment "The Mixed Martial Artist", Scooby-Doo makes a cameo through the door saying he is also a talking dog but Jack and another dog attack him.
  • "After Bert / Downton Shaggy" In the segment "Downton Shaggy" Shaggy become the new footman in Downton Abby. Everyone except for Mindy Cohn reprises their roles as the Mystery Inc. crew.
  • "Doraline / Monster Mashville": In a short skit, Scooby confesses that he is Old Man Welker and that he is a human disguised as a dog. Frank Welker reprises his role as Scooby and Fred, and even voices himself.

Tom and Jerry

  • "Avaturd/CSiCarly": In the "Celebrity Birthdays", Evelyn Crawford, who played the legs in the Tom and Jerry cartoons, is wished a happy birthday.
  • "Spy vs. Spy Kids/The Superhero Millionaire Matchmaker": During a fake ad for "Mickey Mouse Mouse Exterminator Service" one of the mice that Mickey gets rid of is Jerry.
  • "Here Comes the Doom/Brain Purge": In the ad parody "Tom and Jury", Tom is put on trial by Droopy and Nibbles after Jerry is smashed by an anvil.

Yogi Bear

  • "Ko-Bee Movie/Law and Ogre": During the "Law and Ogre" segment, a mysterious caller tells Shrek he prosecuted the wrong bear and they'll never find the real killer. The caller and killer turns out to be Yogi, who accidentally gave himself away when he says that they'll never find him because he's "smarter than the average bear".
  • "ArTHOR/The Big Fang Theory": The segment "Yu-Gi-Bear!" has Yogi as Yami Yugi challenging Ranger Smith to a card duel. Boo Boo appears as one of the cards Yogi plays.
  • "FrankenWinnie/ParaMorgan": Yogi Bear is attacked by Winnie the Pooh. He also makes a Boo Boo joke when he says "Stop, I already have a Boo-Boo!"
  • "Life of Rhyme/Here Comes Yogi Boo": In the segment "Here Comes Yogi Boo Boo" Yogi and Boo Boo star in their own reality show, which goes horribly wrong.
