Laverne & Shirley is an American animated sitcom television series produced Hanna-Barbera for ABC's Saturday morning children's programming. It ran from 1981 to 1982, airing 21 episodes that spanned two seasons. It is a spin-off from ABC's parent live-action sitcom Laverne & Shirley, with Penny Marshall and Cindy Williams reprising their roles in cartoon form. The series has also been dubbed as Laverne & Shirley in the Army, while the series was renamed to Laverne & Shirley with Special Guest Star the Fonz in its second season.

Set in the fictional Camp Fillmore, the series follows the antics of roommates Laverne DeFazio and Shirley Feeny, who join the U.S. Army as privates under command of an overbearing pig named Sergeant Squealy. The two friends are at odds with their sergeant, who not only holds a grudge on the duo, but also wishes to see them fail due to their inability to take his title seriously. In season two, the Fonz and his dog Mr. Cool from The Fonz and the Happy Days Gang joined the cast as mechanics in the camp's motorpool.
