"Get Back Mojo" is the second episode of The Powerpuff Girls season four, and the seventy-sixth overall. It aired on May 4, 2001 on Cartoon Network. It was written by Cindy and Clay Morrow, directed by Randy Myers and series creator Craig McCracken, and voice directed by Collette Sunderman.

Mojo travels back in time to 1959 to prevent a little Utonium from conceiving the idea to create the Powerpuff Girls.

Behind the scenes

  • The episode title is a reference to the line "Get Back Jojo" in The Beatles' 1969 song, "Get Back."
  • Ms. Kean narrates the opening instead of the Narrator.
  • One of the parents resembles George Jetson from the TV series The Jetsons.
  • When Professor Utonium first activates the Time Portal for the 16th century, it has written on top of the screen, "Time Portal 2000 © Porta."
  • The Mayor has been in charge since at least 1959.
  • The first time Mojo helped in creating the Powerpuff Girls was revealed in "Mr. Mojo's Rising," when he was a regular monkey who was the one who knocked Professor Utonium into the Chemical X to begin with.
  • The end credits refer to the younger Utonium as "Little Utonium."

Errors

  • It's unclear what happened to Mary or what she was wearing after Mojo stole her clothes.
  • The young Utonium may not have seen the girls clearly, but he saw Mojo clearly. It's possible that he blocked that out or the adult Utonium didn't make the connection between Jojo and Mojo when the Professor adopted him.
