Gargamel is the main villain in the animated TV series The Smurfs. He was voiced by Paul Winchell.
Gargamel's goal in life is to kill the Smurfs in any way he can and to liquefy them into gold. He lives in a small castle near the Smurfs' village, and has a pet cat named Azreal.
