"Cat Man Do" is the first part of episode ten of The Powerpuff Girls season one, and the nineteenth episode overall. It aired on January 27, 1999 on Cartoon Network. It was written by Amy Keating Rogers and Jason Butler Rote, and directed by Genndy Tartakovsky and series creator, Craig McCracken.

Bubbles saves a white cat from a villain, but is unaware that it is not as innocent as it seems.

Professor: I just… don't know… where the heck I am… I… Girls! I just have the craziest dream! I dreamt that I was hypnotized by a cat, and we stole a jewel and I jumped out of a building! Pretty crazy, huh?
Bubbles: Yep! Pretty crazy, Professor!
Buttercup: Yeah…
Blossom: Let's go home!


Cat: Hey! Help! I'm stuck in a tree! He-eelp!
Narrator: Oh, be quiet! Bad kitty! If you think the girls are going to help you, you're barking up the wrong... I mean, you're meowing up the wrong... Oh, well. So, once again, the day is saved, thanks to the Powerpuff Girls!

  • When the Professor builds the laser, in the shadow, you can see the jewel is already there, yet they haven't stolen it yet.
  • The moon appears largely in its crescent shape except when the moon is depicted over the machine, then its in full.

Everlasting influence

  • When the girls play with Robin Snyder's cat in "Superfriends," Bubbles tells her about the talking cat.
  • After the events of this episode, the Professor develops a deep dislike for cats. The main reason Professor Utonium and Ms. Keane broke up in "Keen on Keane" is because she has a cat.
